Program Educational Objectives
The program aims at giving the students the knowledge and technological skills that prepare them to:
A- Function effectively as technicians in the mechanical power field of engineering technology,
B- Solve problems related to the workplace through application of their technical capabilities in mechanical engineering technology,
C- Communicate clearly and effectively orally and in writing,
D- Demonstrate professional and ethical behavior, and
E- Continue their professional advancement through life-long learning opportunities and in-service training.
Program Student Outcomes
1. Apply knowledge, techniques, skills and modern tools of mathematics, science, engineering, and technology to solve well-defined engineering problems appropriate to the discipline.
2. Design solutions for well-defined technical problems and assist with engineering design of systems, components, or processes appropriate to the discipline
3. Apply written, oral, and graphical communication in well-defined technical and non-technical environments; and identify and use appropriate technical literature.
4. Conduct standard tests, measurements, and experiments and analyze and interpret the results.
5. Function effectively as a member of a technical team.
